Your Data at Boho: Collection, Payments and Cookies
Last updated: September 6, 2026
This page sets out what personal and financial information Boho collects from Canadian players, why we collect it, and how it is handled once you fund an account, verify your identity or browse our lobby.
When you register at Boho, we ask for the basics: full name, date of birth, email, phone number and residential address. This isn't optional paperwork. Canadian gaming compliance requires us to confirm you are 19 or older and to keep a record of who holds each account. We also log technical details automatically, including IP address, device type and browser, which help us detect fraud and keep the lobby running smoothly on desktop and mobile.
Identity Verification
Before a first withdrawal, most players are asked to confirm their identity. That usually means a government-issued ID (driver's licence or passport) and, for some payment methods, a proof of address such as a utility bill dated within the last three months. If you deposit by card, we may request a photo of the card with the middle digits obscured, matched against the name on your account. This is standard across Canadian-facing operators and exists to stop stolen cards and identity fraud, not to slow down honest players.
Why We Ask for This
- Confirming age (19+) before real-money play begins.
- Matching the person depositing to the person withdrawing.
- Meeting anti-money-laundering checks tied to our payment processors.
- Resolving disputed transactions faster when identity is already on file.
Payment Data: Interac, Cards and Crypto Wallets
Boho supports Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, iDebit, and crypto deposits via Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether (USDT). Each method carries a different data footprint. Interac e-Transfer, the deposit habit of most Canadian players, shares your email or phone alias with your bank to route funds, but we never see or store your online banking password. Card payments pass through a payment processor that handles the full card number; our systems only retain the last four digits and the transaction reference, not the complete card details.
Crypto wallets work differently again. If you deposit Bitcoin, Ethereum or Tether, we record the wallet address used for that transaction so we can match incoming funds to your account and process any future withdrawal to the same address. Blockchain transactions are public by nature, but we do not link your wallet address to your identity beyond what is needed for account matching and compliance checks.
Cookies and Session Data
Boho uses cookies to keep you logged in, remember your CAD balance display and preferred language, and understand which games and promotions get used. Some cookies are essential (you can't stay logged in without them); others are analytics cookies that help us fix slow-loading pages or confusing menus. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may log you out or reset saved preferences each visit.
We do not sell player data to third-party advertisers. Data may be shared with payment processors, identity verification providers and, where legally required, with regulatory or law enforcement bodies. Canada does not have one national gambling regulator; provincial bodies such as Ontario's AGCO oversee only their own markets, and any data-bos8el obligation we follow is tied to the specific compliance and payment partners we work with, not a provincial licence.
How Long We Keep Your Information
Account and transaction records are kept for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, to meet financial record-keeping obligations tied to our payment processors. If you close your account or ask us to delete personal data, we will do so except where a record must be retained for compliance or dispute-resolution purposes.
Data Controller and Your Rights
The registered company name responsible for Boho as data controller is published in the site footer; please confirm it there before submitting a formal data request. To ask what data we hold on you, correct an error, or request deletion, use the support contact listed in your account dashboard. We aim to respond to reasonable requests within a normal support turnaround.
For more on how deposits and withdrawals actually work day to day, see Payments. If you're setting up your account for the first time, Register walks through the verification steps in order. Our welcome offer and its terms are covered separately on Bonus, and full account rules sit on Terms and Conditions.
