Responsible Gaming Tools at Boho
We give our Canadian players the controls to set limits, take breaks and step away entirely, whenever they need to.
Playing on Your Terms
Last updated: September 6, 2026
Boho is built for entertainment, not income. Every account comes with tools that put you in charge of how much time and money you spend in our lobby, and every player must be 19 or older to hold an account.
The 19+ Rule, No Exceptions
You must be at least 19 years old to register a Boho account, deposit funds or play any game in our lobby, including slots, table games and live dealer rooms. We verify age and identity during account setup and before withdrawals. If we have reason to believe an account belongs to someone under 19, we close it and hold any funds pending a full review. This is not negotiable and applies across every province and territory we serve.
Deposit Limits
From your account settings, you can set a daily, weekly or monthly deposit cap in CAD. Once you hit that number, the system blocks further deposits until the period resets, regardless of your payment method, whether that is Interac e-Transfer, a Visa or Mastercard, or a crypto transfer in Bitcoin, Ethereum or Tether. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately. Raising one has a cooling-off delay of at least 24 hours, so a bad night doesn't turn into a bigger one.
Time-Outs
If you need a short break, a time-out locks your account for a set stretch, from 24 hours up to 30 days. During a time-out you cannot log in, deposit or place bets. Promotional emails pause too. When the period ends, your account reopens automatically, but nothing is deleted and your balance stays exactly where you left it.
Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion is the longer-term option, running from six months to a permanent close. Once activated, we do not reverse it early, and we suppress marketing communication for the full term. If you're not sure whether a time-out or self-exclusion fits your situation, our support team can walk through both without judgment. This is also the tool to use if a family member's play is worrying you and you hold shared account access; contact support directly for guidance.
| Tool | Duration | Reversible? |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Daily, weekly or monthly | Lower: instant. Raise: 24-hour delay |
| Time-out | 24 hours to 30 days | Yes, expires automatically |
| Self-exclusion | 6 months to permanent | No, runs for the full term |
| Reality check pop-up | Every session | Adjustable in settings |
Reality Checks and Session History
A reality check pop-up reminds you how long you've been logged in and lets you keep playing or log out, no penalty either way. Your account also holds a full deposit and wagering history in CAD, so you can review patterns over the last week, month or year without guessing. We recommend checking this history regularly, especially after taking advantage of a welcome bonus or ongoing promotion, since bonus funds carry wagering requirements and T&Cs apply on every offer.
Free, Confidential Support: ConnexOntario
If gambling is affecting your finances, relationships or mood, ConnexOntario offers free, confidential support 24 hours a day. Call 1-866-531-2600 or visit https://www.connexontario.ca/ to speak with someone or find local counselling and treatment options. You don't need to be in crisis to call. Many players reach out just to talk through their habits before things become a problem.
Signs Worth Watching For
- Chasing losses by increasing deposits beyond your original plan
- Borrowing money or using bill money to keep playing
- Lying to family or friends about how much time or money you've spent
- Feeling irritable, anxious or preoccupied when you're not playing
- Skipping work, sleep or social plans to keep a session going
If any of these sound familiar, setting a deposit limit or a short time-out today is a reasonable first step. Reaching out to ConnexOntario is a reasonable second one.
Setting Controls on Your Account
Log in, open Account Settings, and you'll find Deposit Limits, Time-Out and Self-Exclusion listed under Responsible Gaming. Changes to limits that tighten restrictions apply the moment you save them. If you can't access your account because you're already in a time-out or self-exclusion period, contact our 24/7 English-language support team and they'll confirm your status without reactivating anything early.

What is the minimum age to play at Boho?
You must be 19 or older to register, deposit or play at Boho. We verify age during signup and again before withdrawals, and accounts that fail verification are closed with funds held pending review.
How do I set a deposit limit on my Boho account?
Go to Account Settings and select Deposit Limits. You can set a daily, weekly or monthly cap in CAD. Lowering the limit applies right away, while raising it takes effect after a 24-hour cooling-off period.
What's the difference between a time-out and self-exclusion?
A time-out is short-term, from 24 hours to 30 days, and your account reopens automatically once it ends. Self-exclusion is longer, from six months to permanent, and cannot be reversed early once activated.
Where can I get free support for gambling concerns in Canada?
ConnexOntario provides free, confidential support around the clock. Call 1-866-531-2600 or visit https://www.connexontario.ca/ for counselling referrals and treatment information.
Can bonus wagering requirements affect my limits?
No, wagering requirements on bonus funds are separate from your deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion settings. Those account controls always apply regardless of any active promotion. T&Cs apply to all bonus offers; see the Bonus page for details.
